Short version: The Hooky Android app stores all data locally on your device — we never see it. The iOS waitlist form on this website collects only the contact details you voluntarily provide, stored in a Google Sheet we control. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data.

1. Who we are

Hooky is an independent crochet and knitting tracker app. For privacy questions, contact us at hooky.crochet.app@gmail.com.

2. The Android app

The Hooky Android app is fully offline and stores all data locally on your device using Android's internal storage (SQLite via Room). We do not have servers. We do not collect, transmit or have access to any data you enter in the app — your pieces, yarns, stitches, photos, costs, or any other information.

The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or any network requests of its own.

3. The iOS waitlist form (this website)

If you submit the iOS waitlist form on this website, we collect the information you provide:

This data is stored in a Google Sheet accessible only to us. We use it solely to notify you when Hooky launches on iOS. We will not send you unsolicited messages, share your details with third parties, or use your contact information for any other purpose.

4. Third-party services

Google Sheets / Google Apps Script — form submissions are stored via Google Apps Script in a Google Sheet. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through their infrastructure. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Fonts — this website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log the request (font file request, your IP, browser user-agent). No personal data from the form is shared with Google Fonts.

No advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics tools are used on this website or in the app.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website uses localStorage (browser local storage) to remember your language preference. No cookies are set. No data is sent to any server for this purpose.

6. Your rights

If you submitted the waitlist form and would like to:

Email us at hooky.crochet.app@gmail.com with the subject line "Waitlist data request". We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention

Waitlist data is kept until the iOS version of Hooky launches and initial outreach is complete, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. After outreach is done we will delete all waitlist records.

8. Children

Hooky is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted the waitlist form, contact us and we will delete the entry immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app or this website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
